Aaron Judge wasn't the only Yankee to go yard on Wednesday night, as first baseman Greg Wells also hit a pair of home runs to lead the Yankees to a 7-4 victory over the Cardinals.

Wells' first homer came in the second inning off of Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas. Wells hit a 1-1 sinker 403 feet to right field. The solo shot gave the Yankees an early 1-0 lead.

Wells' second homer came in the fourth inning off of Cardinals reliever Genesis Cabrera. Wells hit a 1-0 changeup 420 feet to left-center field. The two-run homer gave the Yankees a 5-2 lead.

Yankees Win Third Straight

Wells' two homers helped the Yankees win their third straight game. The Yankees are now 31-29 on the season and are in second place in the AL East, 7.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, have lost four of their last five games and are now 28-32 on the season. The Cardinals are in fourth place in the NL Central, 7.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Yankees will continue their series against the Cardinals with a game on Thursday night at Yankee Stadium. The Cardinals will start Jack Flaherty, while the Yankees will start Jameson Taillon.
