A 32-year-old man was seriously injured in a cantonal road accident in Uzwil SG on Monday afternoon. He collided with a car brand. The exact course of the accident is still unclear, the cantonal police of St. Gallen announced on Tuesday.
Car brand driver slightly injured
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., the 32-year-old was driving his car on Bazenheiderstrasse towards Bazenheid SG. At the same time, a 23-year-old man was driving his car brand in the opposite direction. For reasons that are still unclear, the two vehicles collided head-on. The 32-year-old was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. The 23-year-old car brand driver was slightly injured. Both vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed away.
Cantonal road closed for several hours
The cantonal road was closed for several hours for accident recording and cleanup work. The public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident.
