Mick Schumacher: Expert warns him about F1 cockpit at Audi
Is Mick Schumacher facing the end of his F1 career?
After Haas announced that Mick Schumacher would not be part of the team in 2023, there was speculation about a possible move to Williams. However, this option seems to have become obsolete as well. According to information from 'Sky', Williams is about to sign a contract with Logan Sargeant, which would mean that the path to Formula 1 would be blocked for Schumacher.
Now there is said to be only one realistic option left for Mick Schumacher: a reserve driver role at Mercedes. However, this would probably mean the end of his Formula 1 ambitions. As former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher recently claimed, Mick must now do everything to avoid this scenario. According to Ralf Schumacher, his nephew should take a break from Formula 1 and gain experience in other racing series such as the DTM or Formula E.
For Ralf Schumacher, it would be a mistake for Mick to accept a reserve driver role at Mercedes. "If he takes a break for a year, he can gain experience in other racing series and come back stronger," said Ralf Schumacher.
It remains to be seen whether Mick Schumacher will follow his uncle's advice. However, it is clear that the 23-year-old is facing a difficult decision. If he does not get a cockpit in Formula 1 in 2023, it will be difficult for him to return to the top class of motorsport.
