Bayern’s Hoeneß ahead of Alonso duel: "We want more"
He wants to see more from his team, said Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeneß ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid.
The first leg ended 1-0 for Real. "It will be a great game against an exceptional team," said Hoeneß of the upcoming encounter on Tuesday.
"We want to win and we want to reach the final," Hoeneß said. Bayern have lost their last three semi-finals and Hoeneß is desperate to see that run end.
"We want more of the ball, we want to make more chances and we want to score more goals," he said.
Hoeneß was particularly impressed with Real's midfield, which features Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. "They are world class players," he said.
"But we have a good team too and we are confident that we can win." Bayern will be without the suspended Arturo Vidal for the second leg, but Hoeneß is confident that his team can cope.
