Bavaria's Largest Construction Machinery Trade Fair

At the 11th edition of the GaLaBau in Nuremberg, from 14 to 17 September 2023, the entire range of products and services for the design, construction, maintenance and care of green spaces will be presented for the first time in Southern Germany. "With 1,300 exhibitors from 40 countries, GaLaBau will offer the entire range of landscaping products and services over an area of 140,000 square metres in 2023 - from small tools to heavy equipment, from lawnmowers to tree care systems to digital solutions," explains Stefan Dittrich, project manager of GaLaBau.

Premiere in Nuremberg – Trade Fair for Green Spaces and Infrastructure

For the first time, the platform for the international green industry will be held in Nuremberg. "The central location of the venue in the heart of Europe and the region's concentration of landscape gardening companies are ideal conditions for us to reach our target group of green space professionals even more effectively," explains Dittrich. This proximity to customers is also confirmed by a survey conducted by the market research institute Kantar TNS: 30 percent of visitors to GaLaBau 2023 expect that the change of location will bring about improvements, especially in terms of accessibility, journey times and internationality. 61 percent of exhibitors see positive effects, particularly with regard to opening up new markets.

The Bavarian landscape gardening industry in particular will benefit from the largest regional construction machinery trade fair in 2023. The green sector in Bavaria has a turnover of around 5 billion euros annually and employs around 100,000 people. "The GaLaBau in Nuremberg is the ideal platform for Bavarian companies to present their products and services to top decision-makers from all over Europe," says Dittrich.

GaLaBau: A Unique Industry Experience

The GaLaBau offers more than just an exhibition: The trade fair provides its visitors with the opportunity to gain experience in all areas and facets of modern green space design and build up their expert knowledge. For example, there will be four themed routes on the topics of "Construction of Green Spaces", "Maintenance of Green Spaces", "Sports and Leisure Facilities" and "Trees & Shrubs", which will lead the visitors directly to the relevant exhibitors. In addition, numerous special shows will provide in-depth insights into current issues and technical innovations in the industry. "We are pleased to be able to offer our visitors a comprehensive programme with which they can experience the entire world of GaLaBau," says Dittrich.
