Wiener Weihnachtsdörfer öffnen

Christmas in Vienna kicks off on November 11th, 2022 with the opening of the city's Christmas markets.

The markets will be open daily from 10am to 10pm until December 26th, 2022.

Vienna's Christmas markets are a popular tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors each year. The markets offer a variety of traditional Austrian Christmas gifts, food, and drinks, as well as live music and entertainment.

Some of the most popular Christmas markets in Vienna include the Christkindlmarkt am Rathausplatz, the Weihnachtsmarkt am Spittelberg, and the Weihnachtsdorf am Riesenradplatz.

The Christkindlmarkt am Rathausplatz is the largest and most popular Christmas market in Vienna. It is located in front of the Rathaus (City Hall) and features over 150 stalls selling a variety of Christmas gifts, food, and drinks.

The Weihnachtsmarkt am Spittelberg is a smaller, more intimate Christmas market located in the Spittelberg district. It features over 50 stalls selling a variety of unique Christmas gifts, as well as food and drinks.

The Weihnachtsdorf am Riesenradplatz is a Christmas market located in the Prater amusement park. It features over 70 stalls selling a variety of Christmas gifts, food, and drinks, as well as live music and entertainment.

In addition to the Christmas markets, Vienna also offers a number of other festive events during the holiday season, including the Vienna Christmas World, the Vienna Ice World, and the Vienna Advent Singing.

The Vienna Christmas World is a month-long festival that features a variety of Christmas-themed events, including concerts, exhibitions, and workshops.

The Vienna Ice World is a skating rink located in the Rathausplatz. It is open from November 19th, 2022 to January 8th, 2023.

The Vienna Advent Singing is a series of free concerts that take place in churches and other venues throughout Vienna during the Advent season.
