Erling Haaland scored his second hat-trick in eight days as Manchester City maintained their Premier League title charge with a 3-1 victory at West Ham. The prolific Norwegian striker opened the scoring in the 34th minute, before doubling his tally just four minutes later. He completed his treble in the 65th minute, taking his goal tally for the season to 19.

West Ham pulled a goal back through Gianluca Scamacca in the 82nd minute, but it was not enough to prevent City from claiming all three points. The win moves City four points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table, having played one game more.

Haaland continues to break records

Haaland's hat-trick was his third in the Premier League this season and his 11th in his career. He is now the fastest player to reach 10 hat-tricks in the competition, doing so in just 20 appearances.

The 22-year-old has been in sensational form since joining City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer. He has now scored 19 goals in 12 Premier League appearances, as well as three in two Champions League matches.

Manchester City keep the pressure on Arsenal

Manchester City's victory at West Ham keeps them firmly in the title race. They are now four points clear of Arsenal, who have a game in hand. However, City have a superior goal difference and will be confident of retaining their Premier League crown.

Arsenal will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Aston Villa. City, meanwhile, will host Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday in a rearranged fixture.
