Urban Meyer Predicts Ohio State to Dominate the 2024 Season
Buckeyes garner praise from former coach Meyer
Meyer believes roster depth will lead to success
Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer predicts that his alma mater will capture the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship.
Meyer, who led the Buckeyes to a national title in 2014, cited the team's roster depth and talent as key factors in his prediction.
"Ohio State has the best roster in the country," Meyer said on ESPN's College GameDay. "They're going to be really tough to beat."
The Buckeyes are coming off a disappointing 11-2 season in 2023, but Meyer believes they have the pieces in place to make a run at the title in 2024.
"They have a lot of experience coming back," Meyer said. "They have a lot of talent coming back. They're going to be a very good football team."
Ohio State is ranked No. 2 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll, behind defending national champion Georgia.
The Buckeyes open their season on Sept. 2 against Notre Dame at Ohio Stadium.
