UBS on AP Moeller-Maersk B - Key Takeaways
UBS said: "We remain Neutral on Maersk as we see good upside over the coming year, but also some risk of profit-taking given the very strong run so far in 2023. We thus see Maersk as a stock for core portfolios, but also one which may well be volatile given the current elevated multiples. The fundamentals for the container shipping industry remain solid, and we continue to see Maersk as a key beneficiary of this in the coming years."
The bank also added: "Maersk is a proxy for a play in the global economy, and we see the current strong start to the year as a good entry-point into the stock. However, we believe there could be better risk/reward opportunities later in the year, as the impact of the weaker macro becomes more visible."
The analyst concluded: "Overall, we believe Maersk is a quality stock with good upside potential, but we believe it is fully priced currently. We thus maintain our Neutral rating."
