What to do during an earthquake
If you are in an earthquake, the most important thing to do is to stay calm. Do not panic and try to remain composed.
If you are indoors, drop to the ground, take cover under a sturdy table or desk, and hold on until the shaking stops.
If you are outdoors, stay away from buildings, power lines, and other hazards. Find an open area and drop to the ground.
If you are in a car, pull over to the side of the road and stop. Stay in your car and wait for the shaking to stop.
After the earthquake, be sure to check yourself and others for injuries. If you see any damage, report it to your local authorities.
