Sir Alex Ferguson's Son Sends Blunt League One Promotion Warning to Wrexham

Darren Ferguson on Wrexham's League One Promotion Hopes

Darren Ferguson, the son of legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, has issued a blunt warning to Wrexham ahead of their League One promotion push.

Wrexham, owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, are currently top of the National League standings and are in a strong position to secure promotion to League One for the first time in their history.

However, Ferguson, who is currently manager of League One side Peterborough United, believes that Wrexham will face a tough test in League One, despite their impressive form in the National League.

Ferguson's Warning

Speaking to the media, Ferguson said: "Wrexham are always being spoken and written about. They've got a lot of money and they're doing well in the National League, but League One is a different kettle of fish. It's a tough league and there are some very good teams in it."

Ferguson also pointed out that Wrexham will have a smaller squad than many of their League One rivals, which could be a disadvantage during a long and demanding season.
