Prospects Visit as Bulldogs Host UAB in Season Opener

Alabama A&M University welcomed several top high school football prospects to campus on Saturday for its season-opening game against UAB in the newly-renovated Louis Crews Stadium. Bulldogs head coach Connell Maynor said he was pleased with the turnout and the overall atmosphere of the event.

"It was a great day for Alabama A&M football," Maynor said. "We had a lot of recruits in attendance, and they got to see our team compete at a high level. We're excited about the future of our program, and we believe that these young men can help us reach our goals."

The Bulldogs lost the game to UAB 31-28, but several of the recruits said they were impressed with the team's performance and the overall game-day experience.

"I thought the team played really hard," said Walker. "They never gave up, even when they were down. I was also impressed with the crowd. It was a great atmosphere." Similar praise came from Booker, who said it was nice to see the new stadium and how the fans supported the team.

Maynor said he hopes the recruits will consider Alabama A&M when they make their college decisions. "We're building something special here," he said. "We have a great coaching staff, a beautiful new stadium, and a supportive fan base. We're confident that we can compete for championships in the near future."
