NYC dog Halloween costume parade: ‘Grease,’ Florence Pugh the pug and more (Video)
Hundreds of dogs strutted through Manhattan’s West Village
Hundreds of dogs strutted through Manhattan’s West Village in their finest Halloween costumes on Saturday for the annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. The parade, now in its 25th year, is one of New York City’s most popular Halloween events and features categories such as “Best Couple,” “Most Creative,” and “Scariest.” This year’s parade featured a wide variety of costumes, from classic characters like Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz” and Harry Potter to more creative costumes like a “walking taco” and a “bag of chips.”

Here are some of the highlights from this year’s parade:
- A pug dressed as Florence Pugh in her “Midsommar” costume
- A golden retriever dressed as Danny Zuko from “Grease”
- A husky dressed as a UPS delivery driver
- A poodle dressed as a ballerina
- A corgi dressed as a hot dog
The parade was a great opportunity for dog owners to show off their creativity and have some fun with their furry friends. It was also a great way to get into the Halloween spirit and celebrate the city’s rich tradition of dog ownership.
