On August 31, 2024, the Northern Arizona University (NAU) Lumberjacks commenced their 2024 season with an emphatic 66-6 victory over the Lincoln Oaklanders.

The Lumberjacks' offense showcased their prowess, amassing a staggering 600 yards of total offense. Quarterback RJ Martinez orchestrated a flawless aerial assault, completing 20 of 25 passes for 350 yards and four touchdowns.

NAU's defense was equally impressive, smothering the Oaklanders' offense and forcing five turnovers. Defensive end Jake Casteel led the charge with three sacks and two forced fumbles.
