Loons Beat Last-Place Earthquakes 2-1

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota United FC earned a rare road victory on Saturday night, defeating the last-place San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 at PayPal Park.

The Loons took an early lead in the 12th minute when Robin Lod scored off an assist from Franco Fragapane. San Jose equalized in the 57th minute through an own goal by Minnesota defender Brent Kallman.

But Minnesota regained the lead for good in the 69th minute when Adrien Hunou scored off an assist from Emanuel Reynoso.

The victory was just Minnesota's second on the road this season and snapped a three-game losing streak.

The Loons are now 7-10-8 on the season and sit in ninth place in the Western Conference.
