Longhorns Land Wide Receiver Jaime Ffrench

On Friday, June 24, 2023, the Texas Longhorns football and basketball programs made significant strides in their recruiting efforts, securing commitments from several highly touted prospects.

Headlining the class of 2024 is five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, who announced his verbal commitment to Texas over offers from Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State.

Ffrench is considered one of the top playmakers in the nation, ranking as the No. 4 wide receiver and No. 23 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite. He caught 75 passes for 1,360 yards and 17 touchdowns in his junior season at John Paul II High School in Plano, Texas.

Ffrench's commitment is a major boost for the Longhorns' offense, which has struggled to find consistent play at the wide receiver position in recent years.

Ffrench is an explosive playmaker with excellent speed, leaping ability, and route-running skills. He is expected to make an immediate impact as a true freshman and become a key target for quarterback Arch Manning, who is also committed to Texas.
