Landslides Plague California City, Unprecedented Underground Movement Blamed

Mud Flows Strike Impacted Areas

The city of San Bernardino has been hit with dozens of landslides in light of an unprecedented underground movement, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

In the past few days, at least 50 homes in San Bernardino have been evacuated due to the landslides. The USGS warns that these movements could continue for months to come.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the underground movement.

Hundreds Affected By Mudflows

Aside from landslides, the city has also been plagued by mudflows, blocking roadways and bridges and leaving hundreds of residents without water or electricity.

Authorities have already set up shelters for the affected residents.

According to the California Geological Survey, the volume of underground movement detection is off all charts. Therefore, it is highly likely that San Bernardino will experience more landslides and mudflows in the future.
