Jason Holder talks Barbados-born Jacob Bethell playing for England

West Indies' Jason Holder says it is 'bittersweet' to see Barbados-born Jacob Bethell playing for England.

Bethell, 21, made his England debut in the Twenty20 series against Pakistan last month and is in line to feature in the upcoming one-day international series against the West Indies.

Holder, who is captaining the West Indies in the white-ball series, said he is happy for Bethell but also admits it is a little strange to see him playing for England.

"It's a bit bittersweet, to be honest," Holder said. "Obviously, I'm happy for him because he's a good player and he's worked hard to get to where he is.

But at the same time, it's a little bit strange to see him playing for England. He's a Barbadian, so you would expect him to play for the West Indies.

But I wish him all the best and I'm sure he'll have a successful career with England."

Holder also said that the West Indies are not afraid of England ahead of the white-ball series.

"We're not going to take them lightly, but we're not afraid of them either," Holder said. "We know they're a good team, but we're confident that we can beat them.

We've got a lot of experience in our team, and we're playing well at the moment.

So we're going to go out there and give it our best shot."
