One dead, 13 injured in hospital fire
A fire broke out in a patient's room at the Frankenberg / Eder hospital on Tuesday evening. One person died and 13 others were injured, three of them seriously. The fire was reported at 7:30 p.m. in a two-bed room on the first floor of the internal medicine ward. According to the police, a 79-year-old patient died.
The cause of the fire is still unclear. According to the police, there is no evidence of arson at the moment. The fire brigade was able to quickly extinguish the fire. The other patients in the ward were evacuated to safety.
