Long-time Texas Tech football sportscaster Curtis Parrish has stepped down from his role after 24 years in the booth. Parrish's legendary career saw him call over 300 Red Raider football games, including the 2008 and 2019 Big 12 Championship Games.

In a statement released on Texas Tech's athletics website, Parrish said that he felt it was time to step aside and let someone else take over. He is excited to spend more time with his family and pursue other interests.

Many Texas Tech fans had Parrish as the voice of Red Raider football throughout their lives. He will be missed in the booth, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of Red Raider fans everywhere.

Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt expressed his gratitude for Parrish's dedication and service to the university.
