Billy Zane has transformed himself into the legendary Marlon Brando for the upcoming biopic "Waltzing with Brando." The first-look photos from the film, obtained exclusively by Page Six, show Zane bearing an uncanny resemblance to Brando, from his piercing blue eyes to his signature smoldering expression.
"I've been a fan of Marlon Brando since I was a kid," Zane said in a statement to Page Six. "He's one of the greatest actors of all time, and it was an honor to portray him on screen."
The photos show Zane in various scenes from the film, including one in which he is dressed as Brando's iconic character Vito Corleone from "The Godfather." Zane also captures Brando's mannerisms and speech patterns, down to the smallest detail.
"Billy Zane is a brilliant actor, and he brings Marlon Brando to life in this film," said director Bernard Rose. "He captures Brando's essence, his charisma, and his vulnerability."
"Waltzing with Brando" is set to be released in theaters later this year. The film tells the story of Brando's life, from his early days as a struggling actor to his rise to stardom and his eventual decline.
In addition to Zane, the film also stars Rebecca De Mornay as Brando's first wife, Anna Kashfi, and Robert Duvall as Brando's mentor, Elia Kazan.
