Adi Hütter leaves AS Monaco
Former Frankfurt coach departs after 10 months
Niko Kovac in line to replace Hütter at the Stade Louis II
Adi Hütter has left his position as coach of AS Monaco after 10 months in charge.
The 52-year-old Austrian guided Monaco to third place in Ligue 1 last season, but the club have struggled this campaign and are currently ninth in the table.
Hütter's departure comes after a 3-0 defeat to Strasbourg on Friday. Monaco Sporting Director Paul Mitchell said: "It is with great regret that we have taken the decision to part ways with Adi Hütter. We would like to thank him for his hard work and dedication during his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future."
Former Monaco Coach Niko Kovac is in line to replace Hütter, according to French publication L'Equipe. Kovac was last in charge of VfL Wolfsburg, where he was sacked in October. He previously had a successful spell at Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double in 2019.
